This week...

One thing about the journey with God is that you never know what you will ever encounter. This week has hardly been an exception.
Working at The Bridge has been a wonderful experience so far in my learning about how "big" churches function and live. Interestingly enough, they experience the same kinds of problems that other churches face, but one could easily overlook these problems because of their size. Looking from the inside out has caused me realize without God, the church can be a building with people, yet with absolutely no substance or work of the Holy Spirit. God wants to stretch His church in order that they be more apt to deal with the issues that spring from society, so that they can continue to be salt and light. Again, this postmodern movement has led many of us to abandon some sort of truth(s), in order to adhere to the culture. "There are no absolutes, absolutely!"

While different teachings may be secondary to the lead message of the Bible, we have to still scrutinize everything that we encounter. Test it, try it. God's Word is strong enough to endure every test that it is put under. Like God, we can rest in the promise of his faithfulness and his goodness (perfection).

All of this shows again, that the basis of our lives should be to know God. Why else should we live? What are we living for?
