These Days...

In a world full of insanity, we thought we would add to it for Jr. High. We just finished a lock-in (an all night event called "the 12"), from 8pm to 8am, where kids from the city came in and were blasted with a million things to do within 12 hours. Laser Quest, Uncoordinated, and my band were just a few of the things that occurred this night. There was a filthy dodge ball tournament at 3am...it was sweet.

Have I ever said that one of the most hilarious things to watch are a bunch of kids trying to fight falling asleep. Well at 5:30 am, that was the case. One kid in particular, this is for you Ben, was fighting the devil of sleep with utter perseverance. Finally, he succumbed as his head tilted back and he had a mouth-wide-open stance. It honestly put me on my face, as Jeff and I laughed so hard that tears and a stomach ache took hold of me. But I don't want to blame just Ben, for it was 90% of the kids that attended. Hilarious to the max!

So now I am trying to recover. We will see what happens...

Alytheia is also in the midst of putting together a CD for this summer. Should be pretty sweet. I am excited for the chance to watch what happens. Our music has really expanded, with the song writing and vision of the group staying the same. Building bridges so that people can experience God. There depth in what is being written, and it all has to do with the Lord and his work in our lives, and where we all fit into His plan. I am excited. We are also going to be using a few old hymns as part of the album. :) The stuff I grew up with. Gotta love it.
