Vancouver is beautiful. I am very excited to be here and studying the Word. I had orientation all day on Friday, and registered for all of my classes as well as met a couple of professors and other people that will be helpful as I begin seminary.
Last night I got to hang out with my old buddies Shawn and Chris. We went bowling (for real) and the played some Wii bowling. Good times. It has been very cool to get to see old friends and just be here.
When I drove up here earlier this week, I was very worried about my car and its stability as I drove up here. It made me nervous, but God was faithful to get me here. The day before yesterday, I was driving back from orientation, and I noticed a burning smell coming from my car. Yes, my radiator had cracked. It reminds me about how God is in control of everything; even the time and place of my car breaking down. It could have been when I was driving over the mountains where nothing is available for miles and miles. God is good, and it reminds me that He really is in control and He holds us in His hands. He has everything under control. Everything.
Today I went to First Baptist Church in Vancouver. It's my dad's old church that he used to pastor when he was here. There were quite a few people that came up to me and spoke to me about life and family. You can tell that my father had an incredible impact on the lives of the people he ministered to here. Again, God is seen
So tomorrow I am putting in a new radiator, going to get my books at school, and getting ready to start class. I am ready for this new section of my life's journey.

Hey Andrew it's Amy Horn. No offense, but I see nothing in your blog about you and Anna getting engaged. Did I miss something? I would think that would be a pretty important thing to blog about....maybe I missed it.
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I just remembered Anna set up a blog, but I am new to this blog stuff. David does ours. Hey you should put a link on your site to the wedding blog...I don't know...just a random though...it's late...sorry! She is doing a great job keeping it up so far (And she said she wouldn't!! Good going Anna!!)
ReplyDeleteDon't work too hard up there Wilson!!! Save some brain cells for when Anna gets up there with you! We need to take your picture for Colleen's wall of shame...er...I mean....fame...when you are here in November.
