The studio has been a wild time the past few weeks. I do feel like my ears are going to bleed at times due to the intense listening and working with all different sounds as we produce and master (well, a little) this album on our own. I have really enjoyed the different conversations that have spawned up during this time. There are moments when you just laugh and wish to forget what just happened or what was said, and then there are the moments where you can just sense to presence of God and know that His hand is a HUGE part of what is happening with this album. I am pleased to say that God is the reason for this recording. It is not for us, but it is for God and His glory which is of utmost importance. We were talking about worship and how you can know what it is you worship by looking at your life and watching the things that are of immense value to you. If God is not the one you are enthralled with, then we have to step back and re-evaluate. We are praying and asking God to be the reason for this album. That we are just being used by God to show Him off and hopefully give Him and larger platform for Him to work from. I am honored that He would choose us.
It is official. I am going to Africa. One week from tomorrow I plan to leave and go to Kenya. I am honored that God would allow this to happen in such a short time. While there is so much to happen in the next week, and when I say a lot, it literally is a HUGE thing that God has to do in order for this to be accomplished. However, as Psalm 108.1 says, "I have confidence in God." He is teaching what it really means to trust Him and to, more than anything, desire that He is glorified through whatever plan He chooses to use to accomplish His work.
