New Years

New Years Eve was a riot. I would have to say that spending time with the Gatties and Barrettas is probably one of my top 5 things to do in life. Seriously, I laughed the whole time and just sitting and playing games can be a top thing to do in life. Good times.


I have had a wide variety of conversations with different people over the last day or two, and I have been reminded that life will throw such wild pitches at you that sometimes all you can do is try and make the best of a terrible pitch...to carry with the baseball analogy. Swinging for a homerun is not often what can be made of the situation. Often times I just have to take the pitch and go with what is coming, even when all odds seem against me. Hopefully, the ball will start being thrown over the plate.


oh, by the way, I was saddened that the Blazers lost for the first time in a record setting 13 game win-streak. Roy, Alderidge, and Outlaw have been phenominal in the streak. Rip City is back from whence it came...(Drexler + Porter + Kersey + Duckworth + Robinson = my favorite team growing up! ) Go Rip City!
